AC/DC keeps rocking through the years. After forty-seven years, the rockers on Friday released "Power Up," their first release after almost six years.

It’s also their first album since Malcolm Young passed away in 2017. "Power Up" is a tribute to Malcom Young's body of work and songwriting.

"We always felt Malcolm never left us. "Malcolm has very strong influence on the band's overall sound and  and him passing away will not gonna change that. I think it is very evident on the record."

All songs are co-written by brothers Malcolm and Angus, selected by the Angus from an archive of old riffs and demos during the band's long existence.

"Malcolm and I have always came up with a lot of awesome songs,". "There were still a lot of great songs and riffs left to work on."

Most of the songs came from a productive writing session from 2000 to 2008, and Angus Young chose tracks that bring most memories of his big brother.

"I devoted on the ones I knew were Malcom's most passionate about," Young said. "It’s a good tribute project for him. He always liked being straight forward, so I felt, what's more awesome than his music?"

"Power Up," their 17th studio album's single "Shot in the Dark," were released in October, is overloaded with the same power chords that made them rock gods with albums like Back in Black." Power Up was also in honor of original singer Bon Scott who died during the bands popularity height.
